Al Mubarak assumed his current role in 2016. He plays a key role in shaping Abu Dhabi’s cultural, tourism, entertainment, and real estate sectors and has overseen initiatives such as the Saadiyat Cultural District, home to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and future sites like Zayed National Museum and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. In Q1 2025, Abu Dhabi welcomed 1.4 million hotel guests. In 2024, the emirate saw a 7% year-on-year increase in total guests across hotel and alternative accommodation, with international overnight visitors rising to 3.2 million—a 28% increase compared to 2023. Al Mubarak also chairs Aldar and Miral and is the president of the Abrahamic Family House. He is a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity.
