Phillips joined RAKTDA in 2019. Ras Al Khaimah recorded 1.28 million visitors (overnight arrivals) in 2024, marking a 12% growth of tourism revenues and a 40% rise in MICE visitors. In March 2025, RAKTDA and Trip.com Group, a global travel services provider, signed an MoU at ITB Berlin 2025 to launch a range of new initiatives to boost Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal as a destination for Chinese travelers. Phillips is also a member of the board of RAK International Airport, the Ministry of Culture UNESCO Committee in Abu Dhabi, the World Travel & Tourism Council Board in the U.K.
