Meads joined Cisco in 1996 and assumed his current role in 2024. Cisco opened a local cloud data center in the U.A.E. in May 2024. In January 2025, Telecom Egypt, in collaboration with Cisco, announced the activation of a Mediterranean subsea link on the 2Africa subsea cable system. At LEAP 2025, Cisco launched AI and manufacturing initiatives in Saudi Arabia. Meads also oversees Cisco’s Country Digital Acceleration programs across the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia and is a member of the Middle East's leadership network, Boardroom by EMIR (Emerging Markets Intelligence & Research).
