Neves assumed her current role in October 2022. In 2024, Etihad Airways reported record profits after tax of $476 million in 2024, over three times more than in 2023. The company also reported total revenues of $6.9 billion. In the first half of 2025, the national airline carried 10.2 million passengers with its 101 aircraft. As of July 2025, the airline had added 27 new routes, and it is set to add another 13 routes before the end of the year. Neves was previously a partner at McKinsey & Company and served as the CEO of TAP Air Portugal.
