Phillips joined RAKTDA as the CEO in 2019. In 2024, tourism revenues in Ras Al Khaimah surged by 12%. As of June 2025, there were 55 hotels and resorts in Ras Al Khaimah. In April 2025, RAKTDA and Huawei signed an MoU to scale tech integration, marketing, and expand market reach, particularly in China. Phillips also sits on RAK International Airport’s executive board, the U.A.E. Energy and Sustainability Summit’s advisory board, the Ministry of Culture UNESCO Committee in Abu Dhabi, the World Travel Tourism Council Board in the U.K., and the Pacific Asia Travel Association in Singapore. Philips will be joining Accor in November 2025 as the new regional president for the PME division across the Middle East, Africa & Türkiye.
