During 2024, Aldar reduced scope 1 and 2 emissions by 24% and 19% YoY, respectively, while recycling 92% of construction and demolition waste. Aldar’s Athlon project earned the U.A.E.’s first LEED Platinum certification for community planning, while Fahid Island became the world’s first Fitwel-certified island with 940,000 sqm of green space. In partnership with Siemens, it launched the U.A.E.’s first cloud-based smart district management system at Saadiyat Grove, enabling emissions reduction and operational efficiencies. Al Dhiyebi is also the chairman of Egypt’s SODIC and London Square.
