Bin Daina was appointed Bahrain’s Special Envoy for Climate Affairs in 2021 and Minister of Oil and Environment in 2022. He plays a key role in Bahrain’s 2060 net-zero pledge and oversees the design and implementation of the National Energy Strategy. He has contributed to several environmental initiatives, including the National Afforestation Plan and the Bahrain Mangroves Initiative, which aims to quadruple the mangrove coverage by 2035.
