Mokhtar joined Viatris in 2016 and assumed his current role in 2022. As of August 2025, its campaign in partnership with the MENTL Platform had reached more than six million people. In October 2024, the company and New York University Abu Dhabi (NYU AD) collaborated to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the U.A.E., leveraging the country’s Healthy Future Study dissemination and research capabilities. Mokhtar is also elected board member of the American Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi for 2024-2026, and a founding member of the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council.
