Chongphaisal joined GSK in Thailand in 2018 and assumed his current position in September 2023. GSK operates four facilities across the Gulf region in the U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. In May 2024, GSK signed an MoU with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to launch its regional vaccine distribution hub in Abu Dhabi. It was inaugurated in April 2025 and became operational in July 2025. In April 2025, GSK signed an MoU with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and ADIO to establish a Multi-Omics Research Institute in Abu Dhabi. Chongphaisal previously served as Vice President of the Pharmaceuticals Research and Manufacturing Association in Thailand.
