Abouzeid assumed his current position in September 2021. Medserve, a subsidiary of the GulfDrug Holding, provides turnkey healthcare solutions, including funding, financing, design, engineering, technology planning, and procurement. Medserve is the the developer and seed investor of Ardens, a private rehabilitation brand which launched its first facility in Dubai in In January 2025. The group has plans to expand regionally across the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, and Egypt within three years with investments of over $100 million. Abouzeid previously worked with leading multinationals across the Middle East and Africa, including GE Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, and 3M Medical.
