Al Khayyat joined AKI in September 2010 and became Managing Director in January 2017. The company employs over 11,000 people. AKI Pharma increased its brand partnerships fourfold in five years. Between 2024 and up to September 2025, its BinSina Pharmacy division opened 45 new U.A.E. stores and continued to expand in Oman. In April 2025, AKI launched a Fulfilment and Innovation Centre in Dubai, boosting operational capacity. The group has operations across the Middle East & Africa, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq. Al Khayyat has 15 years of industry experience.
