After joining the company as head of communication in 2000, Cheikh-Lahlou was promoted to CEO in 2005 and was appointed chairman in July 2024. Founded in 1933, Cooper Pharma operates across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, focusing on the manufacturing, supply, and cross-border distribution of pharmaceutical and healthcare products. In August 2025, it inaugurated a new distribution center in Morocco. In March 2025, it partnered with China’s Jemincare Group to support pharmaceutical production and technology transfer in Morocco.
