Bin Kalban has been at the helm of the company since 2020. EGA is one of the biggest premium aluminium producers in the world, with operations from alumina refining to the production of cast metal and recycling. EGA is building the U.A.E.’s largest aluminium recycling plant in Al Taweelah and also has aluminium recycling operations in the U.S. and Germany. In May 2025, EGA announced the progression of plans to develop the first new primary aluminum production plant in the U.S. since 1980 which will almost double U.S. domestic primary aluminium production. In H1 2025, the company posted $4.1 billion in revenues. Bin Kalban is a board member of the International Aluminium Institute and the Gulf Aluminium Council.
