Lootah assumed her current position in 2022, before which she was Assistant Director General since 2019. In July 2025, DAFZ signed an MoU with China’s Zhuanzhuan Group to establish its regional headquarters within DAFZ and develop a cross-border supply chain for secondhand consumer goods, with Dubai as the trading hub. It also aims to explore research opportunities regarding sustainable solutions within this sector. Lootah is concurrently Director General of Dubai CommerCity, a role she took on in July 2025.
