Al-Otaibi has been CEO at Dur Hospitality since 2019 and was appointed CEO of Taiba Investments in January 2024 following a merger of the two companies. In May 2025, the company’s hospitality brand revealed its new identity, Makarem, and later in October, the company launched its new corporate identity, Taiba, a fully integrated Saudi hospitality platform. As of May 2025, Taiba managed a portfolio of approximately 40 properties, with eight projects in development in partnership with Marriott International, Hilton, IHG, and Accor, among others. In H1 2025, the company had total assets of $2.7 billion and generated $194 million in revenues.
