Nassrullah develops advanced water treatment technologies using electrically conductive membranes made from voltage-responsive materials that enhance membrane performance and expand treatment capacity. These membranes have shown potential to improve salt removal in desalination and enable functions such as membrane self-cleaning, which reduces reliance on conventional chemical cleaning and minimizing environmental impact. She serves on the board of the Young Leaders Program of the International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA) and works as a desalination technology expert for the World Bank, appointed under the Desalination Partnership Program in collaboration with the Saudi Water Authority (SWA).
