Since 2023, Nasr has served as a Scientist and Science Engineer at Harvard University and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) on the MethaneSAT mission, leading in-orbit calibration, developing machine learning tools for methane detection, coordinating research, and teaching. Her doctoral research at MIT focused on innovation challenges in NASA’s planetary programs and on developing legal and policy frameworks for sustainable, equitable space resource use. She served as Science Payload Downlink Lead for MOXIE on NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance rover, receiving and analyzing the first in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) data from Mars.
