Established in 1984 as Egypt’s first specialised container handling company, it operates two main terminals: Alexandria and El Dekheila. The company handled about 1.1 million TEUs in the fiscal year 2024/25, while revenue grew 27% to $175 million. In November 2025, UAE-based Black Caspian Logistics Holding acquired a 19.33% stake in the company for $279 million. The Holding Company for Maritime & Land Transport is the largest shareholder, with a 35.4% stake.
