Sawiris founded ORA Developers in 2017. ORA has 14 projects in Egypt, UAE, Iraq, Pakistan, Cyprus, Greece, Grenada, and Tunisia. In 2025, ORA commenced works on Bayn, its flagship coastal development in Abu Dhabi, and launched Madinat Al Ward in Baghdad. Sawiris is the Executive Chairman of Orascom Investment Holding. In April 2026, ORA Developers acquired new land from Modon Holding, under which it will double its land holdings in the Ghantoot area to 9.6 million square meters, raising its total investments in the UAE to $8.2 billion. His net worth was estimated at $5.6 billion as of March 2026.
