Al-Thani joined the bank as deputy CEO in 2022 and was appointed Group CEO in 2023. In Q1 2026, the bank had $33.3 billion in total assets. In 2026, the bank took part in the listing of Qatar’s first sustainable bond on the Qatar Stock Exchange, valued at $137.4 million, under its $3 billion Euro Medium-Term Note Program.
