Al Sulaiti has been at the helm of Nakilat since 2011. One of the world's largest LNG shipping companies, Nakilat commenced construction of 25 LNG vessels in 2025: 17 at Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard and eight at Hanwha Ocean shipyards in South Korea, in addition to two LNG carriers and four LPG/ammonia vessels under construction at HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Shipyard. In Q1 2026, Nakilat recorded revenue of $332.8 million and had assets of $10.6 billion. Al Sulaiti is also the chairman of Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions and Qatar Fabrication Company, and is a board member of Gulf Drilling International and SIGTTO.
