Al-Thani has served as CEO of QFZ since 2022. In 2025, QFZ’s investor base grew 19% to 837 licensed companies, with projected total investment reaching $5.3 billion, projected job creation exceeding 13,000, and leased land expanding 30% to 1.7 million square meters. QFZ also partnered with WuXi Biologics to establish the Middle East’s first integrated biologics R&D and manufacturing center and signed an agreement with Samsung C&T for five projects, including a 285-MW solar farm. It also broke ground on the Siemens Energy Service Center and welcomed Kingdee’s first regional headquarters. Al-Thani serves on the boards of Invest Qatar, Manateq, Mwani Qatar, and Qatar Rail.
