Khater is the chairman and owner of Alameda Healthcare Group, which he has led since its inception in 1999. The group includes hospitals, diagnostic centers, laboratories, rehabilitation facilities, and pharmacies. Key facilities in Egypt include Dar Al Fouad and As-Salam International Hospitals, alongside Elixir Gastro & Liver Care Center, the German Rehabilitation Center, and Tabibi Clinics. In 2026, it launched its first clinic in Kenya. In July 2025, Alameda signed a $190 million minority investment agreement with Development Partners International to accelerate expansion across Egypt and the GCC.
