Hutchinson has led Hilton’s Middle East and Africa operations since 2024. He oversees over 400 hotels trading and in the pipeline across 16 brands as of February 2026. Of these, 100 hotels are in Saudi Arabia, worth up to $8 billion in investments. In January 2026, AVENEW Development and Hilton announced Waldorf Astoria Dubai Islands and Waldorf Astoria Residences Dubai Islands and opened three hotels in Oman and two others in Saudi Arabia. In 2025, Hilton signed 29 deals to open more than 100 hotels across 15 African countries. Hutchinson was president and CEO of Rotana between 2020 and 2024.
