Al Zeyoudi has served as the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Trade since June 2025, following five years as Minister of State for Foreign Trade and an earlier tenure as Minister of Climate Change and Environment from 2016 to 2020. In 2025, he signed a UAE–Ireland agreement to explore cooperation in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the green economy. In September 2026, he co-chaired the UAE–Germany Joint Economic Committee, which agreed to deepen cooperation in renewable energy, alongside other sectors. The UAE–Vietnam trade agreement also entered into force in 2026 to strengthen trade relations and unlock investment opportunities in renewable energy, technology, and agriculture.
