Chongphaisal assumed his current position in 2023. In April 2025, GSK, alongside the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, signed an MoU to establish a Multi-omics Research Institute in Abu Dhabi. This would aid in improving cancer patient outcomes through oncology-focused genomic science and precision medicine. Chongphaisal was previously the general manager for GSK’s Thailand and ADC (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, and Papua New Guinea) markets.
