Onder assumed his current position in November 2023. The company and its subsidiaries employ 800 people in the region. In February 2025, it inaugurated its new head office in New Cairo. Since 2023, Daikin has established four training centers and centers of excellence across Africa in partnership with Nigeria’s Etiwa Tech, Field of Skills and Dream, Morocco’s OFPPT, and DMDC in the Côte d'Ivoire. Onder joined Daikin in 2011 as the CEO of Daikin Türkiye. He is also a board member at Daikin Europe N.V.
