Abdallah oversees Vodafone’s markets in Egypt, Mozambique, Tanzania, Lesotho, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Vodafone Egypt employed 7,112 people and had 51.5 million customers in 2024. In November 2024, Vodafone Egypt signed a fiberization agreement with Telecom Egypt, committing approximately $607 million to infrastructure development, focusing on creating a 5G-ready network. Abdallah also sits on the board of trustees for the Vodafone Egyptian Foundation, and he is a board member of the British Egyptian Business Association.
