Ronaldo Mouchawar cofounded Souq.com in 2005, which was acquired by Amazon in 2017. In August 2024, Amazon U.A.E. worked with the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone to provide local publishers and small businesses with training and access to its platform. Amazon also launched the DET x Amazon Accelerator program in September 2024 with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism to support SME growth through digital tools. Ronaldo Mouchawar is also a member of the Dubai Future Council on Artificial Intelligence and the board of directors of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park.
