Khalifa assumed his current position in 2024, having been with Intel Corp. since 1995. In March 2025, Intel collaborated with e& to develop a blueprint for its first sustainable modular data center, which will use renewable fuel, liquid cooling, and energy-efficient processors, aiming to achieve near-net-zero carbon emissions. Khalifa is also an industry advisory board member at the Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai and Heriot-Watt University in Dubai, and Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi.
