Marafie became CEO of Al Tijaria in 2021. The company focuses on commercial property investment across Kuwait, the GCC, the MENA region, and international markets. In 2025, the company reported $104.5 million in operating income and total assets of $1.9 billion. In July 2025, it invested $15 million in the GFH GCC Logistics Fund II to acquire, develop and operate logistics properties in the GCC. Marafie is the Chairman of the Jordan-based unit of Kuwait Commercial Markets Complex and is a board member at Al Salmiya Group for Enterprise Development.
