FRV is Jameel Energy’s international renewable energy business. In August 2025, FRV Australia completed its largest BESS project to date, the 250MW/500MWh Gnarwarre battery. Jameel also serves as vice chairman of Community Jameel, a global organization advancing science to support communities. In Egypt, Community Jameel and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab launched the Hub of Advanced Policy Innovation for the Environment to work with government agencies on critical air and water issues. The Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab at MIT introduced the Jameel Index for Food Trade and Vulnerability, providing data-driven insights to navigate the complexity of global food trade and its implications for food security.
