In June 2025, du partnered with CRIF to roll out the Synergy ESG platform across its supply chain. In July 2025, it achieved ISO 20400 certification for sustainable procurement. It also got a 91.48% ESG Label score from the Dubai Chamber. In 2024, du recorded a reduction of over 7.08 KtCO₂ through solar-powered telecom sites and AI-based cooling systems. The company also diverted 31% of waste from landfills, composted 20,685 kilograms of food waste, and fully digitized paper invoicing. Al Hassawi has been in his current role since 2021.
