In 2024, Al Dhaheri launched ADNEC Group’s Net Zero Transition Plan. In October 2024, the group partnered with the Emirates Water and Electricity Company to make the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi the first event venue in the Middle East powered by clean energy. It also launched TerraTile, a 100% recycled flooring system for events. In 2025, the group initiated a 5 MWp rooftop solar PV project and an AI-driven optimisation system at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Al Dhaheri has served as group CEO since 2015, having first joined the company in 2005.
