In 2024, Salik expanded Dubai’s toll network to 10 gates, including two solar-powered gates, expected to reduce congestion by 10-16%. 11.9% of its waste was recycled, and 99% of transactions were paperless. Server virtualisation cut hardware use by 50%, saving 4.9 tCO₂e annually. The free Salik tag activation program for EVs granted over 17,000 exemptions in 2024.
