Crescent Petroleum was one of the first oil and gas companies to achieve carbon neutrality in 2021. It has reduced its overall carbon intensity from operations to 4.4 Kg CO₂ e/BOE, which is one-third of the global industry average. Over the past 15 years, the gas it produces has enabled the Kurdistan region of Iraq to avoid 58 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions by replacing diesel and other liquid fuels with clean-burning natural gas.
