RSG develops regenerative tourism destinations, with six sites along Saudi Arabia’s west coast. These include The Red Sea, planned for 50 resorts by 2030; Thuwal Private Retreat, which opened in 2024; and AMAALA, expected to have 30 resorts by 2030. In July 2025, RSG launched a mangrove planting initiative at Mangrove Park near Shura Bridge and published its ‘Terrestrial Spatial Habitats Assessment for Biodiversity Conservation’ in partnership with the University of Porto’s Biodiversity and Genetic Resources Research Center. Albasseet has been in his current role since 2021.
