In 2024, NBB reduced emissions by 39%, launched Bahrain’s first Multiple Sclerosis Centre, and opened the country’s first LEED Platinum-certified solar-powered branch. It also supported social and environmental initiatives, planting over 230 trees through the ‘Forever Green’ campaign and supporting educational initiatives that reached more than 1,000 young people. Ahmed has been in his current role since 2023. He also serves on the boards of INJAZ Bahrain, the Bahrain Association of Banks, and the GCC Board Directors Institute.
