In January 2026, Bureau Veritas signed an MoU with Masdar to develop renewable-energy engineering standards adapted to GCC conditions. It is also providing engineering oversight for 300 MW of wind and solar projects in Oman. In 2025, renewable sources accounted for 29.3% of the group’s energy use, up from 21.3% in 2024, while its scope 1 and 2 emissions fell to 126,000 tonnes of CO₂ from 135,000 tonnes.
