SAB exceeded its 2025 sustainable finance target of $9 billion by reaching about $12.3 billion. The bank also launched Saudi Arabia's first green-labelled AT1 sukuk and a $1.25 billion Tier 2 Green Bond. The bank also expanded renewable energy capacity, with solar PV systems installed at nine branches, while reducing its energy intensity by 10% from 2024. Cripps took the helm of SAB in 2021.
