Fahed Hariri is the youngest son of the late billionaire Rafik Hariri, the former Lebanese prime minister who was assassinated in 2005. In 2012, Fahed sold his shares in family construction firm Saudi Oger to his brother Saad Hariri, who served as Lebanon’s prime minister until January 2020. He invested part of the proceeds in real estate in New York, Paris, and Monte Carlo, as well as in now-troubled Lebanese banks. He is also developing residential buildings in Beirut.
