Founded in the 1950s by the late Marzooq Al Shamlan, the group has evolved from a collection of individual businesses into a consolidated enterprise operating across retail, services, automotive, and trading sectors. Its portfolio includes more than 180 international brands through subsidiaries such as Qatar Trading Company (QTC), Q-Tire, and International Tire Center. Between March and November 2025, Q-Tire opened its first branch at Woqod Mesaimeer in Qatar and launched a new branch in Bahrain’s Karranah district.
