Al Ali assumed his current position in January 2023. EtihadWE handles the distribution of electricity and water to the U.A.E.’s northern emirates. In March 2024, EtihadWE commissioned of NAQA'A Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant which can produce 150 million gallons of water daily. In 2024, EtihadWE partnered with the U.A.E. Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to launch a distributed solar system program, enabling households and businesses to install rooftop solar, generate their own electricity, and receive credits on utility bills. Al Ali previously served as the Assistant Undersecretary for Electricity, Water & Future Energy Affairs at the U.A.E. Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
