Al-Jaida was appointed CEO in 2015, having previously been Deputy CEO and Chief Strategic Business Development Officer since 2010. 2024 happened to be QFC’s best-performing year, wherein it licensed 836 firms, a 156% increase compared to the previous year. In the first half of 2025, QFC recorded a 64% year-on-year increase in firm registrations. The center added 828 new firms, bringing the total number of registered companies to 3,300. In May 2025, it signed MoU with Ashmore Group, a global asset manager with $46.2 billion in assets. Al-Jaida is a board member of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers, Sidra Medicine, QFC, the Qatar Free Zones Authority, and more.
