Al-Eidan assumed his current position in 2022. KOC’s primary role is to explore, develop, and produce oil and gas in Kuwait. In January 2025, KOC expanded non-associated gas production by commissioning Jurassic Production Facilities 4 and 5, each adding 160 MMSCFD of gas and 50 MBOPD of light oil. During the same month, the company also increased crude production capacity through field and infrastructure expansion. Production at the Umm Niqa field reached 22,140 BOPD, exceeding the projected 15,000 BOPD, while the Sabriyah and Bahrah fields collectively maintained production above 300,000 BOPD.
