Al Marar assumed his current role in 2024. EDGE Group runs over 35 subsidiaries across five clusters, namely Platforms and Systems, Missiles and Weapons, Space and Cyber Technologies, Technologies and Industrialization, and Homeland Security. In January 2026, EDGE and Indra Group signed an agreement to establish a new manufacturing JV entity in Spain for European defense programs. In June 2025, EDGE signed a $2.5 billion naval contract with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense. Al Marar also sits on the UAE Space Agency board and the Institute of Applied Technology’s board of trustees.
