Al Maktoum has led Emirates Airline & Group since its founding in 1985. By the end of March 2026, Emirates’ global network spanned 152 cities in 80 countries with a fleet size of 277 aircraft. In FY2025-26, the group reported $41 billion in revenues. In May 2026, Emirates broke ground on a $5.1 billion ultra-modern engineering complex at Dubai South, set to become the world’s largest and most advanced aviation MRO facility, capable of servicing 28 wide-body aircraft simultaneously. Al Maktoum also chairs Dubai Airports, Dubai Duty Free, and flydubai, among others.
