Zaghloul joined NMDC Group in 1998 and assumed his current position in 2009. NMDC is an integrated energy and marine services, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company. It operates across MENA, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The group recorded revenue of $7.8 billion, and $10.8 billion in total assets in FY2025. The group secured $5.3 billion in project awards in 2025, bringing its total backlog to $15.8 billion. In January 2026, NMDC Infra acquired a 51% stake in Spain’s Lantania Aguas, marking NMDC Group’s first European market entry. Zaghloul is also a member of the Brussels-based World Organization of Marine Construction and Dredging.
