Al-Obailan assumed his current role in April 2024. In November 2024, the company changed its name from Abdulmohsen Alhokair for Tourism and Development Company to BAAN Holding Group. As of 2024, BAAN Holding Group operated 23 hotels and 69 family entertainment centers. It also recorded revenues of $181 million and net profits of $1.4 million. In December 2024, the BAAN Holding Group signed two strategic agreements with the Al Oula Real Estate Development Company and the Abdulmohsen Al Hokair Holding Group to acquire assets worth $221.4 million. Al-Obailan previously held key roles at Seera Group and the Abdul Latif Jameel Group.
