El Sayed joined ARTIC in 2001 and assumed his current role in 2017. As of May 2025, the company operated 35 hotels and resorts, comprising 8,168 rooms and 1,300 residences. Its investment portfolio spans 15 cities: Doha, Cairo, Hurghada, Alexandria, Makkah, Istanbul, Rome, Milan, Berlin, London, Algiers, Miami, Washington D.C., Chicago, and New York. In 2024, it inaugurated the ARTIC Hospitality Excellence Program, offering internships to Qatari and expatriate students. El Sayed also serves as chairman of Seldar Holding in Egypt and sits on the board of directors at BNF Bank p.l.c. in Malta.
